Register for Billing Using the Instructions Below

 

The UNC Neuroscience Center/Brain Initiative Viral Vector Core uses iLab software for billing. We do not use this software for virus order requests. Each lab/group should register for billing once, using the information for their lab head and financial contact. The financial contact should be the person who will review invoices and initiate payment. Virus requests can be placed through the Neurotools App once billing is set up..

Note: If you are a UNC Chapel Hill affiliate or your institution is pre-registered with iLab, you are all set to go. Go ahead and register for the Neurotools request app on the “App Registration” page!

Registering for iLab Billing

  • 1. Click "Register for Billing"

    Here, enter your institutional email address and agree to iLab’s privacy and security policies.

  • 2. Institution Authentication

    Your email will be reviewed and you will be redirected to your institution’s own authentication system.

  • 3. Identify Your Lab/PI

    Once authenticated, select the PI you work with. Your PI or administrator will be notified to approve the registration.

  • 4. Ready to Set up an Account

    Once approved, you will receive access to iLab. Indicate that you would like to register billing for the BRAIN Initiative Viral Vector Core in the UNC Neuroscience Center.

  • 5. Personal Information and Group Associations

    Fill out your personal information as prompted. (Note: this information should be for your lab’s financial contact)

    Enter the lab group name, PI name, or financial approver and the system will search for a group matching that information. If there is no existing Lab/Group, you can use "Create New Group" to create a new Lab/Group.

  • 6. Billing Information

    Complete billing information. This step may be skipped if your institution already has billing set up.

  • 7. Ready to Go!

    Your registration will be immediately approved if your institution already exists in iLab and the registration email address matches the institutional domain.

    If these conditions are not met, your registration will be manually reviewed and you will receive approval within one business day.

    Upon approval, you will receive a Welcome Email from iLab with login credentials.

Once billing registration is complete, register for the Neurotools app to place an order.
